Global Habitat Festival was held on July 7, 2007 (07-07-07) and aimed to raise public awareness about solutions to climate change and inspire people to be part of the solution by making meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. The event was a "Friends of Live Earth" event affiliated with the global concerts organized by Al Gore that were held during a 24 hour period in 9 cities on 7 continents. Over 4,500 people attended the day long event held in downtown Vancouver at UBC Robson Square, and enjoyed great local bands, an eco-village, live coverage of the global concerts, tasty food and kid's entertainment and activities. It was a great community event and plans are in the works for next year's event already!
